Antiquedesks.net Medium Sized English Antique Desks range in width from 122cm to 153 cm. (48"-60") and are particularly suitable for home office use. They come in various styles including both Partners Desk and Pedestal Desk configurations and in oak, mahogany and walnut and other rarer woods.
STOCK NOTES: MEDIUM ANTIQUE DESKS Description: Usually in the form of Partners Desks and classic Pedestal Desks Sizes: Range in width from 48" (122cm) to 60" (153cm). Depth can vary from 24" (61cm) up to 42" (107cm). Height to the working surface is usually around 30" (76cm) and the height of the kneehole is around 24" (61cm) Woods: Mahogany, Oak, Walnut and Burr Walnut, and occasionally Rosewood, Pitch Pine and Satinwood. Ages: Date from the early part of the 19thC (early 1800's) (Georgian, William IV, Regency), through the Victorian period and into the late Victorian Arts & Crafts period, the Edwardian era and into the reigns of George V and George VIConfigurations: Usually the desks are of three piece construction (smaller ones sometimes one piece). Some desks may have a "super-structure" (cabinets, slope or gallery) on top. Partners Desks have various combinations of drawers and/or cupboards to BOTH sides - pedestal desks have drawers only to the front and a panelled rear. Prices: Prices for good quality fully restored Medium Sized Antique Desks start at around £1,750 and go up to £5,000, or more, for a very high quality desk of excellent provenance.
