Fine quality Antique Mahogany Reading Table or Stand.  Dating from the early Victorian period.  Fully adjustable in height and reach and with original brass castors and wheels for ease of movement this is a double reading stand with twin ratchet adjustable reading slopes.  Standing on a solid mahogany platform base with bun feet and an octagonal mahogany column the finely polished table top has moulded edges and wonderful colour.  The mechanism is in full working order and it is a measure of the quality of this piece to see the solid mahogany internal column that supports to table top and ratchet mechanism.  Excellent size, colour and proportions.
