Superb quality rare five drawer antique mahogany library table by the London cabinet maker Charles Hindley. All five drawers have fitted interiors and original brass locks with working original keys.  The drawers fit flush within the table frieze and the standard of workmanship is evident in the precision of the drawer fit.  With a wonderful old waxed and patinated green hide writing surface inset into the moulded edge top this is a truely handsome table. Set upon twin turned supports with a turned stretcher between, this antique library table has retained its original brass castors and brass wheels.

As shown in the Gallery this fine Antique Library Table is stamped with the mark "C Hindley & Sons Late Miles & Edwards 134 Oxford St London" and the Serial Number "6664".  Antiquedesks.net has in stock an exceptional original Satinwood Writing Table (Ref 3010) by Miles & Edwards (stamped) and full details of this renowned firm can be seen on the web page for that table.
