A superb small Antique Mahogany Semi-Partner's Desk.  This is an early Victorian Semi-Partners' Desk  with identical front and rear elevations  - the "semi-partners' " designation refers to the fact that the drawers to the front open and the drawers to the rear do not.  This pretty Partner's Desk is of smaller proportions than many traditional Partners' Desks.  The honey coloured mahogany has a wonderful patina, as does the dark green, gold tooled leather writing surface. The size and configuration of this desk together with the craftsmanship in its construction are a clear indication of its quality.  In excellent condition, this small antique Partners' Desk is a handsome example of Victorian writing furniture and would look well in many locations in a modern home or office.

• Small Antique Mahogany Semi-Partners' Desk - dating from the early Victorian period
• Eight drawers to the front elevation, with three graduated drawers to the left-hand pedestal
• Three graduated drawers to the left-hand pedestal, with three drawers to the front frieze
• Double height ledger drawer to the right-hand pedestal, beneath a smaller pedestal drawer
• One piece hide leather writing surface in faded green, inset to the moulded edge top
• Identical rear elevation appearance, with nine dummy drawer fronts
• Hand-cut dovetail joints to the cock-beaded drawers
• Single turned wooden knob handle to the front drawers (and their rear dummy equivalents)
• Twin turned wooden knob handles to the central drawer (and its rear dummy equivalent)
• Plain polished inner and outer pedestal sides
• Pedestals raised on plinth bases, with recessed wheeled castors (replacements)
• Gold tooled leather in dark green, inset to the moulded edge top.
