An interesting c.1920 pedestal desk in mahogany, with three frieze drawers. There are twin cupboard doors to the front elevation which open to reveal a flight of three shaped sliding shelves to the right and a shelved cupboard to the left. The rear elevation presents well, with three false drawers to the frieze and false twin cupboard doors. The desk is therefore suitable for freestanding locations:

• Inset dark green leather writing surface to the crossbanded top
• Blind embossed work to the leather
• Working brass lever locks to all drawers and cupboards, all with keys
• Brass wheeled castors recessed to both pedestals
• Three deep sliding shelves to the right-hand cupboard, all with moulded fronts
• Hand-cut dovetail joints to the drawers
• Plain polished finish to the inner and outer pedestal sides
