A highly unusual Edwardian mahogany desk in the Arts & Crafts style, with glazed rear gallery:

FEATURES

• Twin drawer front elevation, with extensive inlay work and crossbanding
• Tall pedestal towers united by a leather inset writing surface and a glazed gallery
• Glazed gallery with mahogany bars
• Handmade dovetail joints to the mahogany lined drawers
• Leather writing surface in coral, inset to the crossbanded top
• Blind embossed work and gold tooling to the inset leather
• Original brass lever locks with a key to both drawers
• Brass keyhole liners to both drawer locks
• Boxwood, ebony and satinwood crossbanding to the curved drawer fronts
• Plain polished rear elevation (see additional photos)
• Both pedestal towers with a small cupboard and pigeon hole
• Open shelves to the inner and outer elevations of both pedestal towers
• Hinged inlaid cupboard doors opening to reveal stationery compartments and a drawer
