A highly unusual Edwardian mahogany desk in the
Arts & Crafts style, with glazed rear gallery:
FEATURES
- Twin drawer front elevation, with extensive
inlay work and crossbanding
- Tall pedestal towers united by a leather
inset writing surface and a glazed gallery
- Glazed gallery with mahogany bars
- Handmade dovetail joints to the mahogany
lined drawers
- Leather writing surface in coral, inset to
the crossbanded top
- Blind embossed work and gold tooling to the inset leather
- Original brass lever locks with a key to
both drawers
- Brass keyhole liners to both drawer locks
- Boxwood, ebony and satinwood crossbanding to
the curved drawer fronts
- Plain polished rear elevation (see
additional photos)
- Both pedestal towers with a small cupboard
and pigeon hole
- Open shelves to the inner and outer
elevations of both pedestal towers
- Hinged inlaid cupboard doors opening to
reveal stationery compartments and a drawer
- Inlaid panels to the front of the pedestal

- Original swan-neck handles to both drawers
- Tapering square sectioned legs terminating
in spade feet
- The legs to both pedestal towers united by a
