An Edwardian oak roll-top desk by Globe Wernicke,** with s-shaped tambour top:

FEATURES

  • Seven drawers to the front elevation, including two double height ledger drawers
  • Dovetail joint construction to the drawers, with moulded wooden handles
  • Panelled side and rear elevations
  • Panelled modesty screen to the rear of the kneehole recess
  • Writing slides to the top of both pedestals
  • Well fitted interior to the top, with stationery compartments, drawers and pigeon-holes
  • Central locking system - all drawers locked when tambour top is closed
  • Original wheeled castors recessed to both pedestals
  • Ivorine Globe Wernicke plate attached to the inside of one drawer.
