An Edwardian oak roll-top desk by Globe Wernicke,**
with s-shaped tambour top:
FEATURES
- Seven drawers to the front
elevation, including two double height ledger drawers
- Dovetail joint construction to the drawers,
with moulded wooden handles
- Panelled side and rear elevations
- Panelled modesty screen to the rear of the
kneehole recess
- Writing slides to the top of both pedestals
- Well fitted interior to the top, with
stationery compartments, drawers and pigeon-holes
- Central locking system - all drawers locked
when tambour top is closed
- Original wheeled castors recessed to
both pedestals
- Ivorine Globe Wernicke plate attached to the
inside of one drawer.
