A fine George III writing table in satin birch, with a drawer concealing a blue leather writing slope:

• Well figured single drawer, opening to reveal a hinged writing slope
• Writing slope with good quality leather inset, with gold tooling and blind embossed work
• Lidded glass ink bottle (later replacement) and pen compartment
• Moulded edge top with rounded corners
• Original turned wooden knob handles to the drawer
• Handmade dovetail joints
• Twin moulded to the lower edge of the frieze
• Original castors in brass
