A continental nineteenth-century twin pedestal desk in
fruitwood:
FEATURES
- Traditional nine-drawer front elevation
- Three graduated drawers to each of the twin
pedestals, with three frieze drawers above
- Green leather writing surface inset to
the moulded edge top
- Blind embossed and gold tooling to the inset leather
- Brass locks throughout
- Brass keyhole liners to each drawer lock
- Replacement brass castors with brown
porcelain wheels, recessed to each
pedestal
- Dust corner mouldings to each drawer
interior
- Twin wooden turned knob handles to each
drawer
- Left-hand and right-hand writing slides extending from
the top (see additional photos)
- Both writing slides in matching green leather
with gold tooling
- Oak lined drawers throughout
- Handmade dovetail joints to all drawers.
