A rare opportunity; this late Victorian mahogany
breakfront bookcase, with ebony, boxwood and kingwood inlay, is available with a
fine matching desk. The desk is referenced W29 and can be seen by clicking on
the desk link at the bottom of this page. Bookcase details:
FEATURES
- Central section with three fully adjustable
shelves and twin glazed doors
- A pair of matching wing sections, each with
three adjustable shelves and cupboard doors
- Crossbanding in boxwood, ebony and kingwood,
to front, top and side elevations
- Plain timber rear elevation
- Simple scratchstock mouldings to the front
of all shelving
- Original brass hinges and locks to all four
doors
- Contrasting mahogany mouldings and inlay to
the front elevation
- Period style key with matching cotton key
tassel
- Plain mahogany plinth to the three sections
- Patination to the top, which has a moulded
edge.
DIMENSIONS
- Maximum width = 72" (183cm). Maximum depth
(central glazed section) = 16" (41cm)
- Central glazed section width = 36" (92cm)
- Wing (cupboard) sections are both 18" (46cm)
wide and 46" (117cm) high
- Wing (cupboard) sections are both 14" (36cm)
deep (front to back)
- Base plinth height = 4" (100cm).

construction and will not de-construct for delivery.
