A fine example of a handsome Antique Mahogany Dickens Writing Desk dating from the 1860's.  Surprisingly practical - a laptop can fit easily on (and inside) the central working surface - this desk could feature in a home office, study, hallway or sitting room.

This genuine Antique Mahogany Dickens Writing Desk has the characteristic features of twin pedestals, supporting a top with a moulded edge and three separate gold tooled green leather inset writing surfaces. The fixed superstructure to the rear of the top contains eight small drawers which flank a central turned baluster gallery. At the top of each of the arrangements of small drawers there is a miniature gallery to three sides. There are scrolled brackets to the top of each of the inner and outer stiles.  With a total of sixteen functional drawers this classic Dickens Writing Desk offers a wealth of useful storage space.
