A superb Antique Mahogany Six Drawer Library Table.  Dating from c1835. Original tooled dark red leather writing surface inset into moulded top. Three working frieze drawers to each side.  Excellent turned legs with original wheeled castors beneath.  Twin turned wooden handles to each drawer. Cockbeading to drawer fronts. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and dust mouldings.  Five matching locks with keys, the sixth drawer having a rare intricate patent lock by T Parsons (see Gallery) with the makers name J Duce inscribed inside (see Gallery) - these locks were patented in 1832  - unfortunately the unique key has not survived with the table. (Note: occasionally tables of this nature had a "special" secure drawer)
