An Antique Light Mahogany Pedestal Desk dating from the first quarter of the 20th Century (Edwardian), this handsome twin-pedestal desk has an original black faux-leather (rexine) writing surface inset to the top. (Could be replaced with a leather hide of your choice for an extra cost).  It also has the original retailer's plate to the inside of the central drawer, stamped: 'Cookes (Finsbury) Ltd.'  Overall An excellent genuine Antique Light Mahogany Pedestal Desk and great value for money at this price and  very well proportioned at 60" wide and 33" deep.

• Classic nine drawer front elevation, with wide central drawer above the kneehole
• Original good condition black faux-leather (rexine) writing surface inset to the top (could be replaced with a new leather hide to your specification for an extra cost).
• Embossed work to the faux-leather
• Panelled and polished rear and side elevations
• Brass lever locks to all drawers
• Brass swan-neck handles with back-plates to all drawers
• Twin handles to the central drawer
• Fielded drawer fronts with brass keyhole liners
• Wheeled castors recessed to both pedestals
• Graduated drawers to both pedestals
• Dovetail joint construction to all drawers
• Fluted pilasters to the front elevation
